Ci’era Spencer-Mattox is a native of Charlotte, North Carolina. She attended Howard University in Washington, DC before obtaining her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Winston-Salem State University in 2012. Upon completion of her undergraduate degree, Ci’era went on to attend Charlotte School of Law, where she received her Juris Doctorate in 2015. While attending Charlotte School of Law, Ci’era was involved with the Community Economic Development Clinic, as a student attorney. Through the clinic, Ci’era helped local Charlotte non-profits with various legal needs. Also, while attending Charlotte School of law, Ci’era was chosen to be in the Employment Law Certificate program and received a certificate in employment law along her law degree. Ci’era, recently passing the bar exam in July 2015, is now a licensed attorney in North Carolina. She plans on opening her own firm in the near future and looks forward to the wonderful things that House of Hearts plans to do, and is grateful and excited to be a part of the program.
